Hardy Bay Hikers Lodge is located in Port Hardy B.C. at the end of the road
on Vancouver Island which is the Southernmost terminus for the Northern
(Prince Rupert) and Central Coast ferries.
Cape Scott Provincial Park is only a short distance away which offers hiking
trails on the Northwest Coast of Vancouver Island for the novice up to the
expert and it contains spectacular scenery, bays, coves, beaches, wildlife
and designated tenting spots.
Guided fishing and kayaking charters are available locally and SCUBA diving is
reported to be excellent with good visibility and is only a short distance away
by charter vessel.
Or, for those only wishing to relax, there is good hiking along our numerous
nature trails, swimming at the local aquatic centre, playing tennis and
breathing our clean fresh air as you meet the friendly local folk.
Hardy Bay Hikers Lodge has two segregated (male/female) dormitory style
bedrooms each containing four bunk beds. Clean, fresh linen is supplied and
we have a pleasant lounge area in an open plan living room for relaxation
and social intercourse with other travelers. There is limited use of the kitchen
facilities but breakfasts will be supplied by special request and with sufficient
notice. Laundry facilities, hi-speed internet, cablevision with video and limited
tenting and byke storage are available. The telephone is made available by
special request.

Take Granville Street from the pier up the hill until it becomes Park Drive at
the High School then take the first on the left after the High School. This is
Upper Carnarvon, finally take the first left into Carnarvon Place, we are
located at number 17. Or take a local taxi cab (949-7877) for the
approximate cost of $6.00
